Student Access

All students K-12 have an individual district login account to use district computers and each can personally maintain up to 25MBs of server disk space. Students have access to network resources, and develop a portfolio of their work that is stored digitally on district servers and may be accessed from any school computer.  As a G-Suite School, all Harborfields students have access to a full compliment of Google tools for education including unlimited cloud storage in Google Drive, Google Classroom, and Google Docs.  Students can access these tools from any device that is connected to the internet.

Libraries

All the libraries are fully automated using Follett Library Automation software. Networked computers are used for the Online Public Access Catalogs, circulation and cataloging. All libraries have monochrome printing and color laser printing are also available in each library or adjoining computer lab.

Classroom Technology

The Harborfields Central School District's 1:1 Chromebook initiative currently spans grades K-12.  Secondary students have a 1:1 device that they take back and forth between home and school. Our K-5 students each have an assigned Chromebook, however these are kept on carts within each classroom.  All K- 5 classrooms have networked computers and a shared printer. Each 6-12 grade level classrooms have at least 1-networked computer and a printer. All our schools have computer labs that average 30 workstations and have both a monochrome and color high capacity laser printer.
